The Esmeraldas Woodstar, Colibri De Berlepsch, ColibrÍ De Esmeraldas, or Estrellita EsmeraldeÑA (Chaetocercus berlepschi) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found only in Ecuador[1]. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests[2]. It is threatened by habitat loss[3]. Researchers recently found Esmeraldas Woodstars at eleven new localities and collected the first female specimens of the species[4].
